Teachers’ and Students’ Perception of Students’ Rating as a Tool for Evaluating Language Instruction in College of Education, Warri, Nigeria

This study was designed to investigate teachers’ and students’ perception of rating as a tool for evaluating language instruction in College Education. It examined the percentage teachers students who perceived instruction; it also tested ascertain significant differences instruction. The population comprised all fourteen (14) lecturers two hundred twenty one (221) Nigeria Certificate Education (NCE) English Department, Education, Warri 2015/2016 academic session. manageable size informed researchers’ choice purposively using entire sample study. Two research questions were answered three hypotheses at 0.05 level significance. instruments titled Teachers’ Perception Students’ Rating (TPSR) with reliability coefficient 0.68 (SPSR) 0.87 used gather data collected analyzed descriptive statistics, t-test Analysis Variance (ANOVA). result showed that there is no difference NCE on but analysis revealed different levels Furthermore, qualifications years teaching experience concluded should be adopted quality education excellence instead use publications, paper presentation conferences workshops attendance annual performance evaluation similar institutions.
